He warmly greeted drivers and crews for years at the top of the hill entering the pits at 5 Flags. Joe Huff always had a friendly hello and smile to all who wanted to get into the action in the pits. Joe died on Wednesday at a local hospital while undergoing treatment for cancer. He was 64, and volunteered most of his adult life in the fire departments, first at Ensley, then Beulah. Joe was active over the years with the Beulah Sausage Festival. He retired from the International Paper Mill where we worked as a security guard. Joe leaves behind his wife Charlotte, and 4 daughters. Friends may call on Saturday evening 5 to 8 at the Faith Chapel North Funeral Home in Cantonment. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at Marcus Point Baptist Church on “W” St.
With the focus on Daytona, the state of Florida is recognizing all race events in the state during the month of February at its Welcome Centers. We are honored to be invited to set up a display at the busy Welcome Center at the Alabama state line on Interstate 10. There wasn’t room for a real race car, so Scott Carlson has one of his mini cars from Fast Eddy’s Fun Center on display, along with other racing items. Thank you Florida Tourism, and y’all come see us starting in March

Marketing reps will be on hand to answer questions on the product.

The live auction will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Five Flags Speedway Swap Meet (located at 7451 Pine forest Road, Pensacola.) WXBM morning host and Sportsmen driver Marty White will be the auctioneer. The local event was inspired by Patricia Stevens, fundraising chair for the Pilot Club of Pensacola.
