S.E.A.L. Crate Engine Reminder A program protecting the integrity of asphalt Crate Late Model Racing, first proposed by the Sealed Engine Alliance Leaders (S.E.A.L) in early 2012, has reached formality and will take effect beginning mid season in 2014. This rule will be imposed by various organizations including the JEGS/CRA All Star Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance and many Southern tracks under the direction of Tech Inspector Ricky Brooks. The rule is stated below: “Engines rebuilt and sealed by approved and recognized rebuilders from 2011-2013 will be permitted in competition at the beginning of 2014, and are still subject to THESE rules and their intent. After June 30, 2014 re-built engines must have seals from a re-builder on the S.E.A.L. approved list or carry a 25 lb penalty. Seals on all engines must remain in place and be unaltered.” S.E.A.L. Bombers Gulf Coast Champion Williams Hopes Positive Attitude Rubs Off on Fellow Drivers

Instead of cowering in the face of his own mortality, though, Williams began taking stock of the life he led and what lay ahead. A childhood bent and twisted around stock cars with his father — the pair was at Talladega in 1969 for the first NASCAR race and returned every spring until 1981. Half his life, ol’ T.J. spent as a professional cowboy, competing in rodeos across the nation. DRIVERS TAKE HOME TROPHIES AND POINTS CASH

The 2013 seasons officially ends and the 2014 season begins all in the same setting. The awards and checks to drivers for their season just ended. The urge to keep going and do it over again this year and be back for an award next year. The season’s Awards Banquet at Expo Hall at the Pensacola Fairgrounds drew over 200 drivers and friends...as trophies and plaques were handed out by track officials for the top drivers in the 6 local divisions.  The next event is late March for the season opener. Pictured are the winners in the Bomber, Sportsmen and Pro Truck divisions.

Lionel “Bud” St.Amant, age 73, Passes

Lionel "Bud" St.Amant, age 73, passed away January 11, 2014 after 7 years battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Ruth; son, Gary (Traci); daughter, Michele (Ric) Burt; grandchildren, Allison and Alexa Burt, Jordan and Olivia St.Amant; sister, Sandi Lane; mother-in-law, Viola Drumheller; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Richards, Phyllis Park, Karen (Ray) Dusenbury; nieces and nephews. His passion for life and racing, whether it was a driver, owner, crew chief, crew member or just as a fan in the stands, will long be remembered by all who knew him across the country. 2014 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Here is the plan for 2014...includes 4 Buddy’s Blizzard races, 2 Allen Turner Pro Late Model 100 events to start and end the regular season, plus two 20/30 lap events.  The Vintage cars are here twice, plus Demolition Derby, Faster Pastor, Kids Bike Races, Winged Sprints, Motorcycles, and the NASCAR K&N Series East race. Our Bombers and Sportsmen run every night we race.  The Pro Trucks, Super Stocks, and Modifieds all have a full schedule, when combined with the Mobile International Speedway schedule. As always, schedules are subject to revision as the year unfolds.
