Five Star Race Car Bodies has joined forces with the new Modifieds of Mayhem Tour and will award a complete MD3 Modified Body Package to the Points Champion for the 2015 Season. With the recent announcement out of Montgomery for the new Modifieds of Mayhem Tour, interest has been on the rise. Drivers who won the 6 local championships for 2014 were honored Saturday the 10th at the annual Awards Banquet at the Hadji Shrine Temple. The top 10 finishers in the Bomber and Sportsmen divisions, and the top 5 in the Pro Late Model, Super Stock and Pro Trucks were called to the stage to receive honors for the achievement. Well over 200 drivers, families and fans were in attendance.
Chopper Stagner presents a check for $2,000 to CAT Country personality Wendy Summers of the Krewe du Ya Yas at the annual awards banquet. Chopper dedicated the win and the purse to the mother of his child who died from breast cancer in 2013. The Krewe du Ya Yas uses funds to assist breast cancer patients in Northwest Florida.
Crate engine re-builders that are not currently on the Approved List have another chance for approval Sealed Engine Alliance Leaders (S.E.A.L.) announced today, that they will re-open the application window for crate engine re-builders that want to be on the approved crate engine rebuilders list. January 23, 2015 will be the cut-off date for the applications to be received. The program that was announced three years ago went into full swing in 2014, with the new seals from approved builders being required. Since its inception, only a small number of approved builders have not purchased seals. With their impending removal from the Approved Builders List, SEAL officials are opening up this small window to review and possibly approve new applicants. Engine builders that are currently approved AND have purchased seals DO NOT need to re-apply. The new additions to list of re-builders will be notified in early February.
