Thorpe Wins Tom Thumb PLM Feature

{nl}      A two-year absence had Keith Thorpe wondering when he would again steer his race car into victory lane. No more worries. Following the lone caution with three laps remaing, the veteran Thorpe darted past Kyle Bryant on the restart, then held off the Navarre High student on the final turn to win the Pro Late Model feature race Friday night at Five Flags Speedway. "It's been a long dry spell, but we finally got one,'' said Thorpe, a Pace resident, beaming from ear-to-ear after fellow competitor James Kimbrough soaked him with a water bottle splash.  "We've been struggling,'' Thorpe said. "But at the end of last year we rebuilt the car and we've been running well. Hopefully this will be the start of a good season." JavaScript needs to be enabled for polling to work.
