Since the season started this year, a new speed record has been set in every division of racing except one. The Bombers are getting closer...and still working at it.

The surface treatment to the track asphalt is credited with being a large element in the new faster competition we are experiencing. The first track record was set here with what was called the Modifieds in 1952 on opening day at 70.3 miles per hour.
