Bob's Speed Shop Honored for 50+ Years

He just wants to slow down. 

Bob Karcher has been going full throttle for over 50 years at Bob’s Speed Shop in Mobile. 

At 86, Bob will keep the Speed Shop open to continue service to his customers, and doing it only from the store. 

 

His dedication to the racing community in Mobile and surrounding area was honored with a special ceremony last Friday evening at 5 Flags Speedway.  5 Flags GM Tim Bryant presented Bob with a plaque and banner for his half century of being a great friend to race teams on the Gulf Coast.

 

Bob said  “I never had a hard day of work, because I was doing what I love.â€?
