PRO vs SUPER LATE MODEL; WHAT'S THE DIFF?

PRO LATE & SUPER LATE, SO WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

They look the same. They have the same frame and body, brakes and suspension, use the same gas and tires. The difference is the engine. The Allen Turner Pro’s use a sealed crate engine that can’t be tweaked and has a rev limiter. It produces about 400+ horsepower, comes from the manufacturer in a crate, and costs about $10,000 to $15,000.

The cars in the Deep South Cranes Super Late Blizzard Series have a power plant that can generate about 700 hp and costs $25,000 and up. This can result in a half second per lap or better faster speed.

Look at the current track records for both:
Super Late, Ty Majeski 16.120
Pro Late, Augie Grill 16.259

Some drivers may bring a car in each category.
Speed cost money, How fast do you want to go?
