Allen Turner Hyundai PLMs Highlight a Busy Friday Night Slate at 5 Flags

The regular season at Five Flags Speedway is barreling through its final turns.
After Friday night, there will only be the two Night of Champions events under the Saturday night lights in September.
The famed half-mile asphalt oval hosts the Allen Turner Hyundai Pro Late Series for the
Road to the Snowflake 100, the third of four Pro Late Models features at Five Flags. The PLMs will be joined by the Gulf Real Estate Group Pro Trucks (25 laps), The Dock on Pensacola Beach Sportsmen (25) and the Story and Bleich Roofing Crown Stocks (25).
Admission is as follows: $15 for adults; $12 for seniors, military, students; $5 for children ages 6 to 11); and free for kids 5-under. Grandstands open at 5 p.m., qualifying at 6:15, racing at approximately 8.
Spencer Davis won the last PLM 100-lapper back in June, but its Jake Finch leading the Allen Turner Hyundai points standings courtesy of a win in the season opener and a second to Davis this summer.
Mobile’s Dustin Smith is second in points, trailing Finch by 13 points. Smith is coming off a victory at the Lee Fields Classic earlier this month at Mobile International Speedway. Cole Williams (-16 points), Seth Christensen (-24) and Luke Yarbrough (-35) round out the top-five.
Steven Davis has owned the Gulf Coast Pro Trucks scene this season between Five Flags and MIS. He has won nine out of 10 feature races between the two tracks and is a perfect 3-for-3 in the Gulf Real Estate Group series at Pensacola’s high banks.
Despite the success, Davis leads fellow Alabama driver Maddox Langham by just 17 points. That’s not an insurmountable lead with two features left in 2025.
The race for the Sportsmen track championship seems to be comfortably in hand. Chad Robinson has been a force, winning three 25-lap features and finishing runner-up in the other two races. Parker McDonald, his closest competitor, hopes to carve down a 38-point deficit in Friday’s feature.
A few names have flexed their muscles in the Story and Bleich Roofing Crown Stocks series this season. None more so than the Salter last name.
Adam Salter’s four victories in six features has him on the precipice of a potential track championship. Brother Chris Salter has only raced three times this year, but has a runner-up and another top-five.
Adam Salter will carry a 31-point cushion against defending Crown Stocks champion Doug Thorpe Jr. into Friday night.
