Given a second chance on a second restart, Brandon Carlson took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back, winning the 40-lap Pro Late Model feature Friday night at Five Flags Speedway.

He steadily pulled away from Johanna Long, who finished second, followed by Steven Davis, Hal Martin and Shain Cheney.

“It’s easy when you get out front,” Carlson said. “I had a great car tonight.”

Long was on the pole for the start and pulled ahead as the green flag waved. But Brandon Odom, who was second in points and won the previous race, was spun out on the frontstretch and hit the wall hard.
